But North Mymms History Project archivist, historian Peter Miller, has questioned this and asks whether it could have been built 200 years earlier.
In an article published in the Potters Bar & District Historical Society Newsletter for January 2020, and embedded below, he presents new evidence that questions the date the historic North Mymms landmark was built.
